Elsewhere in The Hague Hague also provides the pilot project to contribute to the national development of the use of ECO Friendly T8 LED Tubes in street lighting?

Basically forests, parks and gardens in The Hague are not illuminated to protect nature. Bicycle routes and pedestrian routes required by these areas are an exception. These routes are well lit for security reasons.

LED eco friendly lighting has the main advantage that it consumes little energy to do much to show and only there where it should radiate rays. So the necessary paths and not on trees, shrubs and animals around it, and the green color is of course that fits very nicely into green areas.

The Hague is working to improve the quality of the street and to decrease. The number of failures this manifests itself in replacing old lighting with energy efficient lighting and white. Also, historical lighting placed in districts where this is appropriate. A good example is the replacement of historic lampposts in the Statenkwartier.

Erasmus Park West is undergoing a trial with colored LED eco friendly lighting lights. Although the green light a little ominous feels to it, residents are enthusiastic.

Near the Opera and the Bijlmer is LED eco friendly lighting already used to illuminate the streets?

The LED eco friendly lighting lamps consume less energy than Ordinary Street and emit less CO2. The lights are green because people would then be able to see in the dark better.

When the lights turn out to be ideal, the municipality wants the green LED eco friendly lightings go places. Several places in the city in a year it is decided whether the colored lights are here to stay.
